I am Sanne Brouwer, a Dutch animator, illustrator and visual developer based in Utrecht. I graduated from HKU (Utrecht University of the Arts) in 2021, and make up 1/9th of Kat van Huis Collective, a young and fresh animation studio in Utrecht.
My work mainly revolves around sparking charm, humour and wonder. There is often an otherworldly element and a gentle, safe ambience to what I make, and I aim to tell stories that feel real. I also have a deep appreciation for good 2D animation and love using analogue materials.

In my films, I translate internal mental workings into visual narratives using approachable character art, a mix of analogue and digital techniques, and rich, harmonious colours and compositions.
